The Future Is Now: Meet 3 High School Indian  Students Who Are Making a Difference Worldwide.

Model United Nations is a simulation for young minds all over the world to understand the aim of the United Nations. This simulation imitates the procedures followed by the United Nations to find solutions to real-world problems and maintain peace and security among nations. It is an excellent opportunity for young future diplomats all over the world to experience a glimpse of the real world.

On the 24th and 25th of June, the first-ever International Youth Model United Nations conference was conducted. The event was dedicated to empowering future global leaders. With a strong belief in the power of youth to create positive change, this platform was created to express opinions, exchange ideas, and work collaboratively towards finding innovative solutions.

This Model United Nations event was co-founded by three high school students; Harsh Kedia, Avyam Gupta, and Chaitanya Rungta from The Shriram Millennium School, Noida. They all brought in their various skills and ideas to put together this MUN.

Avyam Gupta, a grade 12 student, brought graphic design, expertise in advertising, and a passion for entrepreneurship to IYMUN, leveraging the visionary mindset to create innovative solutions that streamline operations, enhance user experience, and ensure the seamless functioning of the IYMUN conference. Mr. Gupta was responsible for boosting our Social Media and providing us with Posts for all our Social Media Channels and Pages, and he worked in the Capacity of Head of Graphics.

Harsh Kedia, a grade 10 student, has been associated with the MUN community since 2019. He is a driven and results-oriented individual with a strong passion for entrepreneurship, always looking to go the extra mile when new challenges arise. With his business-oriented mind and strong management skills, he served as the Chief Financial Officer and played a key role in getting sponsors for the event.

Being associated with the MUN community since 2020, Chaitanya Rungta, a grade 11 student, took his learnings to the next level with IYMUN and provided this opportunity for young minds to collaborate and explore real-world problems. He served as the Chief Marketing Officer and brought on board all our collaborators, training partner and schools who participated. He has a skill set that includes marketing, public speaking, leadership, and management.

The MUN hosted multiple committees, namely, the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Naruto Crisis Committee, the International Federal Association of Football (FIFA), and the International Press, all with their various agendas in mind.

It was an honour to have Dr Karandeep Singh as the Chief guest for IYMUN. Dr Karandeep Singh is an alumnus of the prestigious trio Cambridge, Harvard and Oxford. He is also the United Nations Global Ambassador for SDG 2030 and represents NITI Aayog, India.

The guest of honour at the event was Mr Rahul Suri, a student motivational speaker, entrepreneur and author. The founder of Rustle of Book Club, he has been felicitated by several organisations for his commendable efforts towards the promotion of Literature.

International Youth Model United Nations was sponsored by Athena Education, a platform to nurture the leaders of tomorrow. They prepare high school students for the best universities in the world! Along with them, as a counselling partner and sponsor, was Heal B Yourself.
